Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is based on the ancient Chinese Theory of the flow of Qi (Energy) and Blood through distinct meridians or pathways that cover and fill the body.

This complex integrative network connects all areas of the body including: the skin, muscles, joints, bones and organs. Following assessment, fine, painless needles into meridian points to increase circulation and restore balance along the pathway.

Our licensed acupuncturist works with clients and their therapists to create personalized treatment solution like back and neck pain, hip/knee Osteoarthritis, Chronic headache, shoulder pain, and stiffness. Patients who are pregnant can also benefit.

In addition to traditional acupuncture, we also treat patients using:

  • Gua Sha:
An acient massage technique that uses tools to scape along the skin to release obstruction and toxins that are trapped at the surface of the skin

  • Electroacupuncture:
A form of acupuncture that treats the patient with electrical current sent through the needles

  • Cupping:
The practice of placing suction cups at strategic points in the body to loosen tight muscles and increase blood flow

  • Tui na:
A combination of massage, acupressure and other forms of body manipulation. It works well in relaxing muscle spasms, releasing trigger points, increase range of motion, blood flow and the body’s healing response to the affected area

  • PDP Therapy

Bio-Photon means ‘Energy that grows and protects life’ and one example is the sun. From micro organisms including planktons to human beings, all creatures on the Earth is beneficial from the sun. Among the sun light, the-infrared rays only 4-14㎛ is the most useful to human body. Platinum Diamond Photon (PDP) is ultra fine ‘Semicondoctor Powder’ of which platinum, diamond and titanium oxide are grinded into nano molecule structure. It consistently emits this light energy through the equipment that Hybrid Physiotherapy has brought in. Hybrid physiotherapy provides PDP Therapy as a part of Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Private Pilates Class to achieve the best quality treatment and recovery for all clients. The effects of PDP were proved in the clinical trial by Dr. Mamdooh Ghoneum (professor of immunology at UCLA), a leading immunologist, and Dr. James Gimzewski, a respected nano-technology researcher. This study was published on international Institute of Anticancer Research http://www.iiar-anticancer.org

    The effects of PDP Therapy

  • Accelerate the recovery post injury
  • Pain relief
  • Losing weight
  • Strong detoxification
  • Improve circulation of body
  • Strengthen the activity of immune cells such as NK Cells, T-Cell
  • Stress management/Relaxation

  • Benefits of Acupuncture

Here are just five of the most basic and easy to understand mechanisms:

  • Acupuncture stimulates the release of specific neurotransmitters to improve immune system function.
  • Acupuncture stimulates the release of norepinephrine, acetylcholine and several other types of natural opioids, effecting changes in the autonomic nervous system and reducing pain.
  • Acupuncture activates specific receptors that inhibit the transmission of painful stimuli.
  • Acupuncture facilitates healing by allowing the transfer of material and electrical energy between normal and injured tissue.
  • Acupuncture can both raise and diminish peripheral blood components, thereby regulating the body toward a healthy balance.
